(KWTX) McGregor, Texas After a shooting occurred on Thursday morning in McGregor, a senior law enforcement official confirmed to KWTX that five people had been killed and a suspect was in custody. An incident occurred at a home in the 900 block of Monroe at around 7:30 a.m. According to the official, an unnamed guy shot and killed his wife and their two children.

When police arrived, they discovered the bodies of two more people who had been taken to a nearby house. The body of one female was discovered in the street, and the other was discovered inside the next house. It was reported that “rumors abound about what seems to be a tragic catastrophe in our community,” as McGregor ISD Superintendent James Lenamon put it in a message to the town.
