A Delphi Man Was Murdered in a Car Collision on Schuyler Avenue. At approximately 5:25 p.m., the Cadillac SUV that belonged to James E. Slaughterbeck wandered into the adjacent northbound lane on Schuyler Avenue.

According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect lost control of his SUV and a Honda Accord on Monday, causing both vehicles to spin out of control.

After colliding with the Honda, Slaughterbeck’s SUV rolled, and he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

According to the information provided by the sheriff’s office, Slaughterbeck, 64 years old and from Delphi, passed away at the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, law enforcement officers located Slaughterbeck pinned beneath the cargo area of the SUV and were able to free him.

According to the police, they started providing him with emergency medical treatment and CPR as soon as they found him, but his injuries were too severe for him to live.
