According to the Lee County Sheriff’s office, a Florida man was detained after allegedly breaking into his home to steal a hookah from his roommate. Tyler Wesley, a 19-year-old man, was detained on Saturday night in Fort Myers, Florida after his roommate Monica called 911 to report him.
The teen is seen trying to cover the camera with a cloth in security footage from her room before dropping it and running away. The incident is just the most recent in a string of disputes that have taken place at a home owned by Wesley’s parents since Monica moved in.

She is the sister of a former friend of mine. The woman has made her life “like living hades,” the homeowner Amy Pacheco said. “She paid rent for like two months and then just stopped.” She implied blackmail by mentioning the past-due rent as a potential justification for contacting the police about Wesley.
The tenant’s roommate was accused of stealing the hookah by the landlady, who insists she has never even seen it. Amy told NBC, “For all I know, she could have it herself.” “They searched the house, but they didn’t find a hookah or anything else.” She and her husband appear to have more justifications for wanting to evict Monica formally than just her rent.
They claim a four-foot-tall speaker in their son’s closet, which is located behind the bedroom door, mysteriously vanished, and they are convinced she is to blame. Her roommate, however, is not permitted to reside there while she is still present and is accused of grand theft and burglary.
