A Man Died in a Cement Truck Accident Has Been Identified as a Salt Lake County Deputy Sheriff: According to FOX 13, the driver who died Saturday in Lehi after being struck by a cement truck has been identified as a deputy with the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Early on Saturday morning, Deputy Joel Baker was headed to a shift when a collision occurred at the intersection of Redwood Road and the Mountain View Corridor.

According to FOX 13, a cement truck was driving south on Redwood Road when it ran a red light and crashed with a car coming from Mountain View and turning into Redwood. The car’s driver passed away there and then.
Everyone who knew Joel will miss him dearly, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. He will be remembered as a pleasant and giving person his coworkers adored.
As of Tuesday morning, a GoFundMe page created for Baker’s family had amassed more than $11,300.
The campaign claims that “everyone who knew Joel recognised what a nice and giving individual he was.”
