A young man was shot and killed in a neighbourhood in South Miami-Dade, and police are looking for those responsible. On Saturday night, Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue responded to a call in the Princeton neighbourhood near Southwest 260th Terrace and 130th Avenue.
Investigators say that at around 10 p.m., a fight broke out after an altercation outside a house where a gathering was taking place. According to the investigation, Derrick Houston Jr., 19, was shot multiple times after firearms were drawn and fired.
A woman who begged not to be named or shown on the video stated, “They shot and killed the love of my life.” According to eyewitnesses, a party occurred in the house’s backyard directly opposite the one from where shots were fired.

“Out of nowhere, just multiple shots, ‘boom, boom, boom, boom,’” said a witness. “I said, Oh, my God. I know that’s not fireworks.’”
According to the police, the suspects ran away in an unknown direction. The victim’s death was confirmed by responding emergency personnel.
