Acapulco Season 3: Is a third season of Acapulco on Apple TV+ likely after today’s season 2 finale? Alternatively, have we reached the final destination? We doubt this will come as a surprise, but there are still some factors and possibilities to consider.
Let’s start with where things stand: the streaming service has not announced a renewal. Since this show is lively, energizing, and entertaining, more future episodes would be greatly appreciated. It’s the kind of show that more people should watch but hasn’t gotten the exposure it deserves. There is a good chance the streaming service is mindful of this, which is likely why they renewed it for a second season.

Acapulco Season 3 Storyline
Maximo was in the wrong spot toward the end of Season 1. For him, the resort’s recent shifts had been unsettling. By the end of the first season, Maximo had felt betrayed by his mentor after witnessing the girl slip away and his advancement going to someone else. Now, let’s focus on Julia. Maximo felt for her when he looked at her, but Chad was her rightful owner.
After a season of casual, platonic courtship Season after season, Julia became farther distant from Chad and closer to Maximo. His entire world turned upside down, though, as Chad proposed to her in front of a crowd, and she accepted. He was happy for her, but his disappointment was evident. Maximo shows some hostility, but he is missing certain information.

All of us witnessed the uncomfortable exchange between her and Chad. She also had a conversation with Don Pablo and Diane in which she mentioned how simple it would be to separate them. Though he could be saved, he seems content to take his ball and go home for the time being. When Acapulco Season 2 airs again, how will Maximo treat her?
He also loses out on promotion to management. He instantly concludes that Don Pablo never defended him, never made a recommendation on his behalf, and broke his trust. Only by the end of the series will we know why Hector was promoted instead of him.
By this point, he had already lost it with Don Pablo over the lost opportunity. How much of a fresh start will that be for the two of them? Do you think Maximo will have to earn back his trust or put in the extra effort before he forgives him?
We hope that season 2 clarifies why certain people won’t be pleased to see him at Don Pablo’s burial. Is Julia among them, maybe? There’s little doubt that she won’t play a role in Maximo’s future, so why did he decide to leave her? Is everyone he knows keeping their distance because of his reaction to the season finale?
Acapulco Season 2 Ending Explained
Lupe, at the party, plotted to have her niece surprise Memo. Thus, Nora proposes a toast and gives a moving and personal speech to the assembled company. She discusses making the most of opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and falling in love while having doubts.
Then, Don Pablo reveals one more surprise for them: a performance by Adriana and Augusto, our favorite singing couple, accompanied by Rodolfo. In the following seconds, Lupe gives Memo one month to propose to her niece (he freaks out).
Effective When Julia enters, Maximo has perched on the roof above, watching. She explains that she wants to be with him and is working on being honest with herself. All Maximo wanted for New Year’s was a do-over, he claims. They lean in and kiss each other (while we all cry). We go forward to the current day, where Hugo finally asks, “how long did you date Maximo?” According to Maximo, they had an illicit affair that led to craziness.
Instead of listening to Maximo’s advice to face his worries, Hugo uses it against him by convincing him to visit “her.” By the end of the season, Maximo knocks on the door, and a young woman opens it and says, “Dad.” Hugo begins to respond but is cut off by Maximo, who has put his hand over his face.
Towards the season’s midway, I had a sneaking suspicion that the person he was afraid to visit was a daughter, but finding out for sure was still shocking. The season concludes by tying up any loose ends from the past (for the time being) and setting the stage for future stories by revealing his daughter and their history together. Amazing resolution.
