The Cincinnati Bengals’ assistant coach, Adam Zimmer, has passed away. He was 38. The NFL franchise issued a statement Tuesday, confirming the loss to USA Today. The Bengals are devastated by the news of offensive analyst Adam Zimmer’s passing, the statement reads. Team owner Mike Brown has sent a note which is included in the release. Brown said this about Zimmer and his father, legendary NFL coach Mike Zimmer: “The Zimmer family has been a valued partner of ours for the past 15 years. We hold Mike and Adam in the highest esteem, and this news really saddens us.” We came to consider Mike and Adam as more than just coaches; they became friends.

Before that, once his father took over as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings in 2014, he began working for the team as a coach. ESPN claims that both he and Mike were laid off in the previous year.
In 2006, he got his start as a coach in the National Football League when the New Orleans Saints hired him as their assistant linebackers coach. In a statement sent to ESPN, the Vikings announced Adam’s passing, In a statement, Vikings ownership expressed their “heartbreak” over Zimmer’s death.
