A graduation ceremony shooting outside Altria Theater k!lled a Huguenot High School graduate and their father and injured five others. Richmond police reported hearing gunsh0ts outside Altria Theater at 5:15 p.m. Traffic officers found “multiple victims.”
Acting Police Chief Rick Edwards reports seven sh00tings. A family spokesperson confirmed Injuries k!lled 18-year-old Shawn Jackson and his 36-year-old father, Renzo Smith. 31-year-old has life-thre@tening injuries.
Edwards also said four additional guys, 14, 42, 55, and 58, were injured but expected to recover. Three others were hospitalized for anxiety, two fell, and a 9-year-old was hit by a car while fleeing. That kid should be okay too.

A 19-year-old male is in arrest for the sh00ting. He may face two counts of second-degree murder and other offences. Commonwealth’s Attorney Collette McEachin told NBC12 the suspect would be arraigned Wednesday morning.
Police believe the suspect knew one victim. Richmond Public Schools stated the incident occurred in Monroe Park near the theatre after Huguenot High School’s graduation celebration.

The district has cancelled all high school graduations this week. RPS will announce starting ceremony rescheduled soon. In “an abundance of caution,” all RPS schools will be closed tomorrow, June 7.
