Thompson has expressed his gratitude for the show and all that it has meant to him..
According to his interview with Music Mayhem Magazine, “Idol” inspired him to take his first flight. Because of the show, “there are a lot of things I wouldn’t have done in my lifetime if it wasn’t for the show.” “First time ever meeting famous people, first time going to Hawaii,… that’s why I’m so grateful,” she said.
Second place on ‘American Idol’ for Huntergirl
A platinum ticket on “American Idol” indicates the judges’ confidence in a contestant’s ability to go far in the competition, and country singer Hunter Wolkonowski, better known as Huntergirl, was the first singer to receive one this season. She is now the runner-up on the show.
First impressions of the 23-year-old singer were overwhelmingly positive during her audition for the competition.
According to the Deseret News, after her audition, judge Luke Bryan told her that she had his “favorite female country voice” in five years. With “Dancing in the Dark” by Bruce Springsteen and “Red Bird” by Huntergirl, the season ended with a bang!
A music therapist who works with veterans by listening to their stories and turning them into songs, Huntergirl explained during her audition. She gave credit to the veterans she works with for inspiring her to pursue a career as a singer.
“This has been the craziest year of my life,” she told Parade of the “American Idol” competition. “I worked my whole life just to have this moment. This is for everyone who has put their faith in me, and it’s especially for the returning service members and veterans.
Many people have taken a chance on me as I’ve walked this path. Whoever comes out on top in this competition, you have my congratulations. I’m proud of myself right now because I know how much effort I put into it and how hard I worked.”
The singer also hopes that her appearance on the show will inspire a new generation of female country singers.
She recently told Parade magazine, “I am proud to be a woman in country music.” The goal is to inspire young females to think, “Hey, I could do that someday.”” I want them to follow their passions and achieve their goals. Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton were two of my role models. ‘I want to be like them,’ I used to think when I was a kid.
As she continued, “It’s crazy to think that some little girl might think, ‘Maybe I could do that as well.'” “And that’s why it’s so important.”
On ‘American Idol,’ Leah Marlene came in 3rd place.
“American Idol” runner-up Leah Marlene is a singer-songwriter from Normal, Illinois. Since its 20th season, Marlene has been a major player on the show.

When the 20-year-old singer’s audition, which featured her original song “Wisher to the Well” and more than 1 million YouTube views, featured Lionel Richie, he told her, “You are so comfortable with yourself.” “It’s a welcome change.”
She ended the show with an original song after performing “Cover Me” in the Bruce Springsteen round. Richie praised her songwriting skills after she performed “Flowers,” and judge Katy Perry said she believed the song would change lives.
As a young girl, I was allowed to perform at the farmer’s market despite the fact that I was a terrible singer. Marlene recently spoke to Parade about her thoughts on the subject. Since then, I’ve received so much support and encouragement from so many people. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them. At this point, winning is not about any of us. It’s about giving back to those who helped us get here.
