Anthony Garner, who is 27 years old and from Alabama, was taken to the Story County jail Saturday night after a shooting at the Quality Inn in Ames.
Garner is being charged with five things, one of which is attempted murder.
When police got to East 13th Street just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday, they say they found two dead bodies.

The state of the victims is unknown to the police, but they have reported that they have been taken to a hospital for treatment.
