The sequel to ArcheAge, which came out in 2013, is set to come out in 2024, according to the latest press release from the game’s developer and publisher.
ArcheAge 2 has been in the works since 2020, with Jake Song, the founder of XLGames, again in charge. In the most recent news, it was said that more than 100 people are working on the game. The studio says the upcoming MMORPG will have “spectacular action” and “AAA-standard storytelling.”
ArcheAge 2 will be released all over the world by Kakao Games. Kakao published the first ArcheAche, so the two companies already work together.
The first ArcheAge was made with CryEngine 3, but the second one will use the industry standard Unreal Engine 5. The press release didn’t say much else. More information about how the game will make money and how it will be played will be released later.
