SALISBURY, N.C. — Late on Saturday night, a gunshot took place on the campus of Livingstone College, according to the investigation being conducted by the Salisbury Police Department.
At around 11 o’clock in the evening, responding police officers discovered that two victims had been shot. Other persons sustained injuries while attempting to escape to safer areas, although the number of people who were hurt was not immediately known by the authorities.

“It breaks my heart that our students, alumni, and the families and friends of both had to watch this terrible act of gun violence after a week of homecoming celebrations that went off without a hitch. “My prayer is that the community will respond to Livingstone College in the same manner that it responded when gunfire erupted at a holiday basketball tournament in December,” Livingstone College President Dr Anthony J. Davis said. “My prayer is that the community will respond to Livingstone College in the same manner.”
