On Wednesday, founding member of the popular ’90s boy band LFO, Brian “Brizz” Gillis, passed away (March 29). His age was given as 47.
His ex-bandmate Brad Fischetti announced it on Instagram. Chapters are the building blocks of every story. Some just kind of grow. Some mental slicing and dicing is required. A major character from the first two chapters of the New novel died yesterday. The musician Brian “Brizz” Gillis has died,” he wrote next to a black and white photo of the artist, adding that he did not know the “details” of Gillis’s death.
I’m finding it really difficult to cope with this devastating loss,” he concluded. The LFO Story is a tragedy; I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you’ve been following along, you know that my efforts are an attempt to shed some light on a murky situation. Attempting to find meaning in one’s suffering. Efforts to maintain the tradition.”
The connection I had with Brian was complicated,” Fischetti continued. It had its share of hardships, but it also had its share of triumphs. I picked his brain on the music industry and how to put on a killer performance. And it’s the good parts of our friendship that I’ll always rely on.”

Fishetti is the last original member of LFO left after the passing of singer Devin Lima in 2018 at the age of 41 due to stage 4 cancer.
Here we were given a Instagram post below:
The Massachusetts pop trio was first formed in 1995 under the name Lyte Funkie Ones; Gillis quit to explore other opportunities in 1998, and Lima took his place. After Rich Cronin, their lead vocalist and lyricist passed away from leukemia in 2010, the band went on hiatus. In 2017, Lima and Fischetti reformed as a duet without Gillis.
As Fischetti put it at the end of his post, “I know that soon or maybe already, Brizz will be met by Rich and Devin.” I’m anticipating a harmonious blend of tones from the two. I think that would be fantastic.
