Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia just dropped a bombshell on her fans, letting the world in on how much Zach Bryan’s team offered her after breaking up with him. The internet personality recently made the surprising claim on her hit podcast “BFFs” that Bryan’s team came at her with a $12 million offer in exchange for keeping quiet about their romance and eventual breakup.
This was announced as she joined her podcast co-hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, setting off a heated debate about moral boundaries, money, and personal integrity.
The Offer: $12 Million for Silence
In last week’s release of this podcast, LaPaglia stated that, once the breakup between her and Zach Bryan had taken place, Bryan’s team offered her an impressive financial benefit. She announced they gave her $12 million if she signed an NDA that would bar her from discussing any detail related to her relationship with this singer.
LaPaglia said the offer had come with strings attached: she must keep her experiences with Zach Bryan private, and money would have been paid in installments over three years. She admitted that such an ample offer did tempt her, but would not forget so easily what a person he was and what he did outside of her relationship with the star.
LaPaglia said she wanted nothing of being paid off to keep quiet. She called it “blood money.” She accepted it would be against her principles and her integrity.
For LaPaglia, it was not an easy pass. During the podcast, she spoke about the internal struggle she had to go through; similarly, the help from her friends and family members. According to the host, Portnoy, LaPaglia wavered true turmoil over the possibility of saying no to a life-changing sum of money.
Meanwhile LaPaglia-who at one point reached out to her loved ones seeking advice, including family members who came from poor backgrounds and saw the money as an opportunity to ensure financial security caved. She even remembered how her family told her to accept the money since they were facing financial constraints at that time.
However, she drew a line and decided that accepting the money would directly be an opposition to her dignity and pride. She mentioned that she feared the choice of silencing would demand her to lose her voice and integrity.
Accusations of Fear and Emotional Abuse
Another thing that counted for LaPaglia was what it would emotionally mean from her relationship with Bryan: as she said during the podcast, the behavior of the singer left her emotionally in a bad way at times, and she even feared him; keeping the money might feel like an obligation to bury those experiences that didn’t allow her to validate her journey, her healing process.
LaPaglia said the team for Zach Bryan offered a whole lot of perks other than the $12 million payout. It was to include a new home or apartment in New York City’s clear proposal to further incentivize her into signing the NDA and keeping quiet. But this aspect of the offer bothered LaPaglia; it seemed to her that Bryan’s team was attempting to buy her silence for material comforts.
