Here we are talking about Brodie Lee Cause of Death. Big wrestlers are no longer uncommon, but Brodie Lee (actual name Jonathon Huber) stood out as one of the sport’s most formidable and strong opponents.
He was portrayed as a cold-blooded and cunning criminal, but in reality, his loved ones, friends, and coworkers all had nothing but praise for him. After spending a considerable amount of time competing as Brodie Lee in the independent circuit, Huber found success in the WWE as Luke Harper, a member of the evil Wyatt Family, and then as Mr. Brodie Lee in All Elite Wrestling.
From Backyard Wrestling to Professional Wrestling
Jonathon Huber, who was born on December 16, 1979, in Rochester, New York, played hockey and lacrosse in high school. However, he discovered his calling in backyard wrestling. Before preparing for the professionals, Huber competed in backyard wrestling matches with his brother.

After working for NWA New York and NWA Upstate on the independent circuit, Huber found success in Chikara, where he began to compete as Brodie Lee, in 2007. In addition to fighting future WWE Superstars Bryan Danielson, Eddie Kingston, and Sami Callihan, Lee also engaged in a feud with Claudio Castagnoli, a.k.a. Cesaro.
Lee, a large man with exceptional speed and agility, also wrestled in other organizations, most notably Ring of Honor, where he joined the Age of the Fall. Although Brodie also competed in Jersey All-Pro Wrestling, he never went without work because better things lay ahead.
Brodie Lee Cause of Death
Huber’s wife Amanda stated on Instagram that Brodie had been suffering a lung condition unrelated to COVID, even though the first information was sketchy. He passed away surrounded by loved ones while receiving treatment at the Mayo Clinic. Later information revealed that idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a long-lasting and progressive lung condition, was Brodie Lee’s cause of death.
Brodie’s friends and fellow wrestlers soon sent an unbelievable number of tributes online, expressing their love and respect for him from the bottom of their hearts. In addition to his outstanding fighting abilities, Lee was admired for being a devoted husband, father, and friend.
Many wrestlers and business leaders, including AEW President Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Christopher Daniel, and Renee Paquette, paid respect to Brodie Lee on social media, as did WWE Superstars and employees like Bray Wyatt, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Vince McMahon.

WWE Career Begining
Huber obtained a contract with the WWE in 2012 and began using the ring name, Luke Harper. As part of Bray Wyatt’s cult-like faction, the Wyatt Family, Harper joined forces with Wyatt there after the WWE chose to make NXT their developing territory. Later on, wrestler Erick Rowan joined, and the two formed a powerful NXT faction that won the NXT Tag Team Championship.
After receiving a lot of attention from wrestling fans, The Wyatt Family made their official main roster debut in 2013, defeating Kane. The Wyatt Family rose to prominence in the WWE quite rapidly (despite being heels). Luke Harper won the Intercontinental Championship, which helped him gain singles success, even though the group’s focus was on Bray Wyatt. Once with Bray Wyatt and once with Erick Rowan as the Bludgeon Brothers, Harper would go on to hold the SmackDown Tag Team Championship twice.
Luke Harper seems to have been lost in the WWE shuffle after the Wyatt Family split. Bray Wyatt, who had previously failed, also struggled until the WWE rebranded him with his Fiend persona. Harper demanded his release after becoming frustrated with not being used for months, and with only a few months left on his contract, the WWE granted it.
A New Position With a New Start
Fans were curious as to Huber’s next appearance since, although being 41, he still had a lot to give in the ring. The mystery leader of AEW’s heel faction “The Dark Order,” “The Exalted One,” made his debut for All Elite Wrestling on March 18, 2020, as Brodie Lee.
Brodie Lee was aggressively pushed in AEW and immediately secured a title match against AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley. At AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, the two faced off, but despite Lee’s best efforts, Moxley prevailed.
After defeating Cody’s brother Dustin, Lee turned his attention to Cody Rhodes, with whom he then engaged in a TNT Championship match. On the Dynamite edition from September 9th, Lee defeated Rhodes and took home the championship.
After years of being used in the WWE, Lee finally got the chance to prove what he could do as a singles star, and he did so by displaying significant charm as the leader of the Dark Order and solidifying his reputation as a reliable worker.
In a grueling Dog Collar Match on October 7, Lee lost the TNT title to Cody and handed it back to Rhodes. Following his match, Lee disappeared on AEW TV with speculation that he’d been hurt just before or during the match. Sadly, the situation was considerably worse.
I don’t have the words. #RIPBrodieLee May God send his beautiful family as much strength as possible.
