According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a deadly accident that occurred on the Buckman Bridge on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of two people.
Traffic on the eastbound side of the bridge was stopped for a considerable amount of time after a deadly collision involving a red Ford truck and a Toyota Prius.
Around 1:30 in the afternoon, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reported that they were responding to an accident that involved fire and that drivers might expect delays as a result.

According to HP, the two victims who passed away in the accident were passengers in the same vehicle. It has not been established which car they were travelling in at this time.
It is not known what caused the accident; however, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that the collision involved a head-on collision between the two vehicles.
It is anticipated that lanes will start opening up at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
