Buffalo Grove Mom and Daughters Memorial Fundraiser: Friends of a Buffalo Grove mother who was discovered dead in her house along with her two young girls on Wednesday have started online fundraising to assist with the cost of their funeral. According to the website, the “In Loving Memory of Vera Kisliak, Vivian, and Amilia” GoFundMe campaign will aid in covering the costs of Vera Kisliak’s funeral, burial, and transportation. Her daughters Vivian, 6, and Amilia, 4, will also receive financial assistance.

Natasha Kuzmenko, a friend and one of the campaign’s organizers, stated, “I wish we could have supported her more when she was genuinely alive.” It appears that more should have been done. The objective for the fundraising was $50,000 when it started, but by Sunday night, it had nearly raised $60,000. According to the GoFundMe website, “Vera was a devoted and a loving mom to a fun-loving, lively, constantly smiling (6)-year-old Vivi and delicate, gentle, lovely 4-year-old Amilusha.”

Despite her greatest efforts to keep children safe and content, their lives were tragically cut short in the most horrible way. Vera Kisliak, 36, and the girls were discovered dead in their Acacia Terrace house by police on Wednesday morning during a well-being check. Both Vera’s ex-husband, Andrei Kisliak, age 39, and the children’s grandmother, Lilia Kisliak, age 67, were also discovered dead.

Authorities have stated that all five victims were killed by stabbing, however, they have not said who they suspect to be responsible for the murders. Police have stated that they don’t see any threat to the public. According to court documents, Vera and Andrei Kisliak were going through a bitter divorce, and Andrei had been detained in late September on suspicion of breaking his wife’s order of protection.

According to court documents, Vera Kisliak testified before a judge that her husband used drugs frequently, followed her as she drove their kids to school, stole her car, and threatened to kill her “and disfigure her in a way that no one will know her.” On Nov. 1, a Lake County court did, however, grant the couple’s request to change Vera’s order of protection so that her husband could return to the family home.

Vera Kisliak wanted to make sure her husband could continue visiting their girls, according to Kuzmenko, who also resides in the same Buffalo Grove area. “She drew out the order of protection for that reason, as she (said), “Listen, I have to be nice to him.” Perhaps he’ll comprehend, and then we can figure it out,” said Kuzmenko. Kuzmenko, however, said that her buddy frequently voiced concern about her safety.

“He’s going to murder me, she would say each time we would sit and talk. Every day she experienced fear. She would constantly believe that he was planning to harm her “She spoke. Vera Kisliak, according to Kuzmenko, worked as a receptionist for a real estate company. She continued, “She was a very nice lady. “Very nice, loving, and caring.” Before the COVID-19 epidemic, Andrei Kisliak was a tennis coach; more recently, she claimed, he sold refrigerators.
