Captivating The King Episode 15 Ending Explained
“Captivating the King” Episode 15 concludes with Lady Dong’s tragic decision, driven by her profound love for the monarch. Following Park Jong Hwan’s orders, she made her way to the palace with the intention of poisoning the monarch.
But she told the king her predicament since her love for him was too great to let her carry out the deed. Tragically, Lady Dong drank the poison herself and died while still in the king’s embrace.
She did not directly accuse Park Jong Hwan, but her behavior led the king to think that he was involved. Lady Dong’s sacrifice had a deep effect on Yi-in, and he vowed to seek retribution for her and face his uncle about his betrayal.
Even though Queen Dowager defended Park Jong Hwan, Yi-in was adamant about making him pay for what he did. A cunning scheme was concocted by the king to guarantee that Park Jong Hwan would be punished.
To avoid execution, he got Yoo Hyun-bo to testify against Park Jong-Hwan. Park Jong-Hwan was doomed to face the punishment even though there was no witness against him. At a tragic moment, the monarch deported Yoo Hyun-bo and ordered Park Jong Hwan to eat poison as a punishment for his transgressions.
The monarch maintained his determination despite the pleadings of Queen Dowager. Further tension and revelations regarding her son’s conduct ensued when Queen Dowager discovered that Hee-soo was a lady and not a boy. An exciting season finale is in the works as both internal strife and external forces heat up.
