Chance the Rapper (born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett on April 16, 1993) is an American rap artist, singer, and record producer. Bennett was born and raised in Chicago, where he released his first mixtape, 10 Day, back in 2012. After releasing his second mixtape, Acid Rap, in 2013, he began to garner popular notoriety. In 2016, he released his third mixtape, Coloring Book, which received more praise and attention from critics.
