CHARLTON, Massachusetts — The Massachusetts State Police are looking into a crash with three cars that killed two people on Route 20 in Charlton.
Wednesday afternoon, there was a crash between three cars near Carroll Hill Road.
Police say that based on what they know so far, one of the drivers was going west on the eastbound side of Route 20 when the accident happened.
State troopers say that both of the victims, who were adults, were driving their own cars.
A flatbed truck carrying a boat was hit by a car, which was seen on video from the scene. About 30 feet down the road, a second car with damage to the front end was found.
In the area of the crash, Route 20 is a divided highway with a cement wall between the two sides. The sign says you can only go 50 miles per hour in the area.

Police said that one driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the other was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, where he or she was later pronounced dead.
Dozens of emergency workers were at the crash scene on Wednesday afternoon, and eastbound traffic was still stopped.
State police said that the names of the victims wouldn’t be released right away because the next of kin needed to be told.
Police said they are still looking into what happened and why.
