As Chlo Grace Moretz explains, the Family Guy meme made her feel bad about her appearance.
Many people, particularly famous people, have a difficult time navigating social media. Actress Chloe talks about being the subject of internet memes.
The actress recently granted an interview to Hunger Magazine in which she talked frankly about her struggles with self-confidence.
Who is Chloe Grace Moretz?
American actress and model Chloe Grace Moretz has starred in movies like “The Poker House,” “Kick-Ass,” and “If I Stay.” Her work in the movie The Amityville Horror garnered her an early nomination for a significant prize when she was just a young kid actor in Hollywood. Even though she only started acting when she was seven years old, she received tremendous recognition for her talent and tenacity.
She spent three months honing her skills with Jackie Chan’s stunt squad in order to be ready for her demanding role in the action movie “Kick-Ass.” The girl insisted on pulling off her own tricks! She expected to take on more roles as a teenager after making a name for herself as a child actress.
Unlike many other child stars whose careers end as they reach their teen years, Chloe maintained a lucrative acting career as a young adult. She won a lot of accolades in 2014 for her portrayal of Mia in the teen love drama “If I Stay.” The actress is also a well-known model who has been featured in publications including Elle, Marie Claire, and Vogue.

Explaining the Family Guy Meme
Chloe’s referred to a Family Guy meme featuring Peter Griffin’s great aunt, Legs Go All The Way, Up Griffin.
The episode’s title implies that Peter’s aunt has long legs and is even called a “monster” by another character.
Quickly, the character was being shared throughout various social media platforms, and the internet as a whole was experiencing a meme phenomenon.
Chlo Grace Moretz Discusses the Meme’s Impact.
Two years ago, Chloe discovered that a photo of her had been altered to make her resemble a character from the animated series Family Guy. Chloe was seen in the photo toting pizza boxes.
The actress revealed that she was hurt by the viral memes, despite the general consensus that they were hilarious. “I just remember sitting there thinking, my body is being used as a joke and it’s something that I can’t alter about who I am and it’s being displayed all over Instagram,” she recalled. It was as simple as checking into a motel with some food still left over from the night before. That meme still gives me a lot of anxiety, and it’s been years since I’ve been able to get past it.
To elaborate, she said, “It removed a layer of something that I used to like, which was getting dressed up and going to a carpet and taking a photo, and made me incredibly self-conscious.”
“The Star Decided to Set Herself Apart”
Chloe decided that, despite the mayhem, she needed to concentrate on herself. However, it wasn’t without its drawbacks.
The actress said, “It was amazing because I could be myself and have so many experiences that no one recorded, but it made me tremendously worried when I was being photographed.” When my heart rate increased, I’d start hyperventilating.
It seems like things are looking up for Chloe right now, as she shares that she is making progress on herself every day.
