Colin Cowherd podcast: Colin Cowherd accident
Is Colin Cowherd sick? Find out on the Colin Cowherd podcast.
The NFL free agency period is coming up soon, and the NBA season is also coming to an end. Colin Cowherd won’t be on air this week, though. Doug Gottlieb has been taking over “The Herd” for the last two days while Colin Cowherd is away. Colin Cowherd’s fans want to know what happened to him and if he’s sick. The podcast host went on Twitter on Monday to say that he had a small accident at home on Sunday night that hurt his forehead and is now getting better. Colin Cowherd posted a picture of himself with a big bandage over what looks like a cut.
Cowherd didn’t show up to work on Monday, the day after the Super Bowl. This made people worry. As it turns out, the veteran radio host had to be hospitalized for a blood clot in his lung.
Even though what was going on was scary, Cowherd started to feel better as last week went on. Today, he said on Instagram that he’ll be back hosting “The Herd” instead of taking the day off for President’s Day as he had planned.
“I go back to work tomorrow,” Cowherd said. “I’m ready to go. The last three or four days, I’ve felt pretty good. Thanks again to everyone who has come up to me in Los Angeles and said nice things. It’s been really inspiring.”
When something like this happens to a person, it is very scary. It is even scarier when you think about how many sports media people have died suddenly in the past few weeks.
We’re happy to hear Cowherd is on the mend and will be returning to FS1 starting tomorrow.
We’re expecting him to bring the heat on Baker Mayfield ASAP and really get back to normal.
