Congressman Daniel Webster presents flag flown over Capitol to AMVETS Post 2006

A great honor and pleasure today to meet Congressman Daniel Webster of Floridas 11th District. Today was a special day for AMVETS Post 2006 located in Leesburg, FL.

AMVETS, which is also known as American Veterans, is the largest and oldest veterans service organization that is open to and fights for all veterans and their families.

Today was a great day for all local lake County veterans and AMVETS Post 2006. Each year approximately 100,000 flags are flown over the Capitol Building in Washington, DC. The flag presented by Congressman Daniel Webster to Commander Tom Barlow today was flown over the US Capitol this past Memorial Day on May 29th, 2017. in addition to the flag the post was presented with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Congressman Webster received a very large round of applause when mentioning the flag was made right here in the USA.

According to the AMVETS official website, “AMVETS Mission Statement: To enhance and safeguard the entitlements for all American Veterans who have served honorably and to improve the quality of life for them, their families, and the communities where they live through leadership, advocacy and services.”
