Kris Latimer (Rhea Seehorn of Better Call Saul), the giant dick in Hollywood, visits Cooper Marino’s (Louis Mustillo) garden tiki bar sanctuary and becomes the focus of Cooper’s Bar series. Cooper and his comrades muster their resources for one final fame and fortune.
After the release of Cooper’s Bar Season 1, the enthusiasm and reviews from the viewers and critics made it easy for the network to continue the series for the next season, which enjoyed its plot and characters. This short-form series debuted in the spring and has already amassed nearly 4 million viewers across all platforms.
Cooper’s Bar Season 2 Plot
Season 2 of Cooper’s Bar will pick up right where Season 1 left off, thanks to a newly signed contract to produce the “authentic” Tiki Bar TV series, which will follow Cooper and his ragtag group of misfits as they navigate the challenges of breaking into the Hollywood industry for the first time in a series of meta-comedic episodes. Seehorn’s co-starring role will also be revived. In addition, the concept of the season has been established by all episodes and will continue to evolve in ways that will appeal to the show’s viewers. The following season, though, can decide to alter its strategy and go in a new direction.
According to Deadline, Season 2 of Cooper’s Bar will begin right where Season 1 left off, with Cooper and his ragtag crew of misfits signing a contract to develop the “genuine” Tiki Bar TV series while facing the many challenges faced by first-time Hollywood pros. Seehorn’s co-starring role will also have her back.
A second season is planned after the conclusion of Season 1 on June 9, 2022, with Kris & Cooper’s Hot Wings Face-Off. David Connolly, Nick Morton, and Hannah Davis wrote the episode, and Rhea Seehorn, Hannah Davis, Alfredo De Villa, and Nick Morton directed it. The episode featured an epic hot wing eating contest between Cooper and Kris, the winner of which would control the future of Cooper’s Bar.
“We knew we had to follow the story of this gang of has-beens, never- was’s, and maybe could be into a second season,” said Kevin Dreyfuss, senior vice president of Content Room digital originals. “Shows like ‘Cooper’s Bar’ are excellent creative playgrounds for our AMCN performers and a means to provide the audience something new. Season one was a blast to work on with Rhea and the rest of the cast and crew, and we can’t wait for what season two has in store for us.
The season’s overall concept has been set up by the first few episodes, and it will continue to expand and grow in ways that interest viewers. Seasons later, though, the show may decide to change course and try something new. It will be exciting to see how they respond to this newfound pressure and inject something exciting into the series finale. Wait a while; the network will dish all the deets when the premiere date draws near.
