It was approximately 12:35 in the morning on Tuesday when the woman’s vehicle is said to have rear-ended a tractor-trailer on the westbound Cross Bronx near the Major Deegan Expressway, according to the investigators.
According to the police, when the woman had come to a stop, her vehicle was rear-ended by another tractor-trailer, which caused the fire to spread throughout the entire vehicle.

The fire, according to the authorities, then spread to the first tractor-trailer that was there.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident by the EMS personnel.
Both truck drivers had relatively minor injuries but are expected to be fine after the accident.
