Previously silent on the speculation that he would replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in future films, actor Daniel Radcliffe finally spoke out. During a recent interview with GQ, the 33-year-old English actor addressed rumors that he could replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on the big screen.
It’s just a myth being spread throughout the press tour,” Radcliffe clarified. I’ll say something, and then after a while, I’ll get tired of answering that way, so I’ll say something different, and that will kick things off again. In addition to putting an end to the speculations, the “Harry Potter” actor said that he wouldn’t take a role that may turn into a series unless he was willing to give it his all.
He said, “[I] don’t want to be trapped into something that I’m not sure I’ll be able to enjoy the same amount of the whole time.” Radcliffe had addressed the topic previously. While on an episode of “The View” earlier this year, co-host Ana Navarro approached him about the reports, and he categorically denied that they were accurate.

He explained, “This is something that comes up every now and then, I believe because in the comics Wolverine is short, so every now and then they’re like, ‘Who’s a short actor?’ There’s never been any true truth to it. He also revealed that a joke he made in an interview was the source of the resurfacing of the rumors.
He continued, “Every once in a while I get weary of addressing the questions intelligently, so I simply make a joke like I did the other day, and it sort of has renewed the rumors about it, but there’s nothing going on.” Fans of the “X-Men” films are relieved to learn Hugh Jackman, at age 54, will continue to play Wolverine despite the departure of Daniel Radcliffe in the role.
The actor said in September that he would be returning as Wolverine in the next “Deadpool 3,” which is scheduled for release on November 8, 2024, according to Deadline. Upon hearing the news, many followers expressed their delight on the social media platform Twitter.
Many people have expressed their excitement over Jackman’s return in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds-led “Deadpool” film. After hearing the news, one person even remarked they now had “one more reason to keep living.”
