Written and illustrated by Kshi Tachibana, Date A Live is an original Japanese light novel series. Fujimi Shobo released 22 volumes of Fujimi Fantasia Bunko between March 2011 and March 2020. It is licenced to be published in English by Yen Press.
Across the two magazines, Kadokawa Shoten and Fujimi Shobo published five manga stories. Between April and June of 2013, AIC Plus+ aired an anime television series adaptation of the manga. Season 2 of Production IMS was shown between April and June of this year.
Date A Live Movie: Mayuri Judgement, an original anime film, was released in August 2015. Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet, a spin-off light novel series, debuted in March 2017. JC Staff’s third season aired from January to March of this year. Geek Toys will have a fourth season in 2022.
Release Date for Live Season 4
Geek Toys and Jun Nakagawa produced and directed the fourth season of the Date A Live anime series, titled Date A Live IV. Shido Itsuka’s exploits are once again the focus of the storey. In October 2021, the season was supposed to begin airing, however it was postponed until 2022. The fourth season’s scripts are being written by Fumihiko Shimo, while the characters are being designed by Naoto Nakamura and the music is being composed once again by Go Sakabe.
Date A Live Season 3: Storyline
At least 150 million people are killed in a mysterious phenomenon known as a “spatial quake” at the heart of Eurasia in the first episode of the series. For the next 30 years, the world will be plagued by smaller spatial quakes. Today, Shido Itsuka, a seemingly ordinary high school student, encounters a mysterious young woman at the epicenter of an enormous cosmic earthquake.
The girl is one of the “Spirits” from different dimensions, he learns from his adoptive sister Kotori, who is the real cause of the spatial quakes that manifest in the real world. Aboard the airship Fraxinus, commanded by Ratatoskr and its parent firm Asgard Electronics, he discovers that Kotori is the mysteriously gifted commander who has the capacity to lock the Spirits and prevent them from becoming a danger to mankind.
If he wants to keep the power of a Spirit sealed, however, he must first make each Spirit fall in love with him and then make her kiss him. Origami Tobiichi, Shido’s sharp classmate, is a sergeant in the AST (Anti-Spirit Team), a specialized force tasked with combating the danger posed by Spirits.
He gains allies as he successfully seals more and more spirits, allowing him to date more and more spirits. Shido, on the other hand, makes it more difficult for them to compete for his attention and affection.

What Is The Anime of Date Live?
AIC Plus+ produced and directed the anime adaptation, which was directed by Keitaro Motonaga. Lower quality streams of the series were made available a week before they aired on TV via Niconico. Ahead of its April 6 airing, the first episode was streamed online on March 31.
Niconico streamed the last episode on June 16 and Tokyo MX broadcast it on June 22. ARMS, a singing quartet comprised of Iori Nomizu, Misuzu Togashi, Kaori Sadohara, and Misato, sing the song “Date A Live” as the opening theme. Finales include “Hatsukoi Winding Road,” a collaboration between “Save The World,” and “Save My Heart,” as well as three other pieces by Nomizu.
On TV the last episode was aired, and it was revealed that there will be a second season airing in April 2014.
This game’s opening and closing themes are performed by lovely ARMS (“Trust in You”) and Kaori Sadohara (“Day to Story”). Production IMS handled the animation production. The third volume of the Date A Live Encore short storey collection included an unaired episode, which was published on December 9th, 2014.
Funimation has the streaming and home video rights to the first and second seasons in North America, while Madman Entertainment has the rights to the Australian market’s first two seasons.
Date A Live will have a third new anime series, Tachibana stated on his Twitter account. J.C.Staff handled the animation, with the cast and crew reprising their roles from previous seasons. ‘The Walking Dead’ ran from January 11th to March 29th of this year. Sweet ARMS sings “I Swear” for the opening theme, while Erii Yamazaki sings “Last Promise” for the closing theme.
A total of twelve shows were featured in the third season. Both Crunchyroll and Funimation broadcast the third season at the same time. AnimeLab broadcast the third season to viewers in both Australia and New Zealand.
A new anime project was revealed on September 17, 2019. An anime adaptation of the companion novel, Date A Live Fragment: A Bullet in the Heart, was later revealed. In addition to the spin-off adaptation, Tachibana confirmed through Twitter that the original series will receive a new animation as well.
A fourth season of the show will premiere on March 16, 2020, as previously promised. For “various circumstances,” Geek Toys has postponed the release of the season, which was originally set for October of 2021. Go Sakabe returns to create music for the series’ fourth season, which is being directed by Jun Nakagawa, with the help of Fumihiko Shimo on the screenplays, Naoto Nakamura on the characters, and Naoto on the designs.
