Deadlock Season 1 Background

The governments of eight different races all launched expeditions to circle Gallius IV. As each race fought to gain control of the world, an armed struggle erupted. To avert an interplanetary conflict and prevent the disputed planet from being unintentionally destroyed by the space fleets engaged in combat around it, seven of the eight races signed The Compact of Gallius IV.

Five hundred lightly armed colonists from each of the seven contenders would be sent to the planet, where they would begin setting up their own colonial settlements. Instead of allowing colonists to carry only laser pistols with them, no restrictions were placed on the weaponry they designed and used.

The colony would claim the planet for its leaders if they were able to exterminate all other inhabitants of the planet or build a predetermined number of cities. In contrast to the Skirineen, who run the local black market, the newly discovered and neutral Tolnans serve as advisors to all parties. The complete wording of the Compact can be seen here.

An Issue With the Deadlock.

Accolade’s Deadlock: Planetary Conquest is a strategy game with a turn-based system. In 1996, the game was launched publicly. The conflict over sovereignty of the planet Gallius IV, fought by eight different races, is the central theme of the novel. It was purchased by Tommo in 2015 and published online through its Retroism brand. During its first two months on the market, Deadlock sold more than 100,000 units.

There were only a few modifications in Deadlock II: Shrine Wars, including less micromanagement, the same aesthetics, and a single-player storyline. The game’s interface has also undergone a major overhaul.
