Two of three men suspected in a May 15 armed robbery of an internet cafe in Leesburg have been arrested, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Wearing masks and dark clothing, two men entered the Dreamers Internet Cafe on U.S. Highway 27 in Leesburg at 4 a.m., struck the cashier and took cash from the tills, according to an arrest report.
Wilfredo “Chillywilly” Rivera-Diaz, 48, of Groveland, is accused of two counts of armed robbery and battery, the report said. Several times during the robbery, his mask came undone, the report said. He was arrested Friday.
Emmitt Kirby, 59, of Mascotte, who was arrested Thursday, was accused of planning the robbery with Rivera-Diaz and casing the business before robbery, the report said.
A third man, who struck a cashier with a pistol while wearing a mask, is still at large, the report said.
The two suspects who have been apprehended are being held in the Lake County Jail, Rivera-Diaz on $100,500 bond and Kirby on $50,000 bond.
In March, an unidentified man also bound an employee at the internet cafe Fire Spins on South Street in Leesburg during an armed robbery, deputies said.
