After 10 years of thinking he had gotten away with murder, the serial killer with a conscience came back to our TV screens. What Will Happen In The Second Season Of Dexter’s New Blood?

Showrunner Clyde Phillips has said on the record that he would be up for a second season. All they would need is permission from the US network Showtime. In an interview with Deadline, he confirmed that this would mean moving forward with Harrison in the leading role.

He told them, “Harrison is such a complicated person, and the seeds of the dark passenger are in him.” “He can do things. Look at how Dexter gets beat up at the end. Harrison has to kill this man.”

Dexter New Blood Season 2: Will There Be Another Season?

There has been no official word on whether or not Dexter New Blood will get a second season, but executive producer and showrunner Clyde Phillips has said that he wants to continue the story of Harrison Morgan, the biological son of Dexter and Rita Morgan.

Phillips told Deadline, “As I said, this show is a big plus.”

“I’m sure the numbers will keep going up when people start watching it all at once after the finale. Whether or not Showtime wants more is up to them. I would say yes if they asked me if I wanted to continue this. I have a lot going on, but I’d instantly drop everything and say yes to this.”

Dexter New Blood Season 2 Cast – Who Will Be In It?

If season two happens (which hasn’t been confirmed yet, as we’ve already said), the focus will shift from Dexter to his son Harrison, played by Jack Alcott. The last time we saw the teenage son of a serial killer, he had just killed his dad and was on the run. After finding Harrison with Dexter’s body, police chief Angela Bishop (Julia Jones) took the blame for Dexter’s death. This lets Harrison start a new life without having to deal with the murder of his father.

We can’t say that was the best thing she could have done since viewers already know he has a dangerous tendency to kill, but there you go. Harrison has the chance to start over, and nobody knows where he will go or what he will do with what he has learned from his father’s moral killer code.

So, it’s not clear who will be added to the cast list. We don’t know of any living relatives for him. He could go just about anywhere. In season four of the original Dexter, his real mother died. We also found that Hannah, Dexter’s girlfriend who left with Harrison for a better life in the season 8 finale, died off-screen of cancer between the original series and New Blood. It’s the only reason Harrison bothered to look for Dexter in the first place. Now even his dad is dead? This kid has so many problems that he can do anything.
