The most recognizable blue heeler dog in kids’ television makes his way to the big screen in 2027, with Disney and BBC announcing an all-new adventure for the show’s enthusiasts.
It is an animated film which, after cinema release, will be taken online through Disney+, ABC iView, and ABC Kids in Australia. This latest project, inspired by BBC Studios, the commercial arm of BBC, together with Disney, intends to make the worldwide phenomenon large on screens.

This might be the moment, finally, for a boisterous Bluey blue heeler puppy, her dad, Bandit, her mum, Chilli, and younger sibling, Bingo, who create all these excitingly extraordinary big-family-life adventures, even from the most banal scenes around home life, to tell these stories-so dear and imaginative-to a crowd more than they normally get around their dinner table.
Picked up jointly by ABC and BBC Studios, the series has been an international phenomenon since its premiere in 2017 and is produced by Australia’s Ludo Studio. Universally appealing, “Bluey” has reached more than 140 countries, ranking as a top show on CBeebies and Disney+ in the UK.
Voice Cast and Musical Legacy Return
Also starring alongside her are voices from the original series: Melanie Zanetti in the role of Chilli, David McCormack in the voice of Bandit. Music for the film was by Joff Bush-whose tunes are indispensable throughout the TV series-scoring for the music in this adaptation.
