On Friday, September 9, Disney streamed the Disney & Marvel GAMES SHOWCASE to fans all over the world live from the D23 Expo presented by Visa. The showcase, hosted by Blessing Adeoye Jr. of Kinda Funny, featured many trailers, reveals, and other information.
Excellent new content from Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games was featured in the online showcase. With brand-new announcements, fans saw new details for games like Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and a sneak peek at Skydance New Media’s upcoming Marvel ensemble game.

THE MIDNIGHT SUNS OF MARVEL
Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on December 2 for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. An exact release date for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch will be announced later, according to a new gameplay trailer released by 2K and Marvel Entertainment.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts were also made public; they are a collection of five brief videos that explain how Lilith came to be known as the Mother of Demons and how young Midnight Suns members Nico Minoru, Blade, Magik, and Ghost Rider came together. On October 31, 2022, the first video will debut on the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel. After that, new videos will be released every week.
STRIKE FORCE BY MARVEL
Red Hulk will charge straight into MARVEL Strike Force on Tuesday, September 13. Red Hulk fights Abomination in a new MARVEL Strike Force trailer, and he doesn’t seem too happy when Hulk, She-Hulk, and Brawn show up to join the fight. Before ramming Abomination into an oil truck and throwing them aside, he causes an explosion that sends him hurtling across the desert.
Apocalypse is standing in front of him when he lands, and when he extends a hand to Red Hulk, he does so with a smile. It is real! Red Hulk will take on the role of Apocalypse’s new Horseman of War once he joins MARVEL Strike Force. On September 13, Red Hulk will make his MARVEL Strike Force debut.
SPACE SNAP
Today, it was revealed by Nurse, Second Dinner, and Marvel Entertainment that the eagerly awaited game, Marvel Snap, will debut worldwide on mobile and PC on October 18.

Skydance/Marvel New Media Project
New information was released by Skydance New Media and Marvel Entertainment about their upcoming narrative-driven, team-based adventure game set in the Marvel Universe and directed by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig. The game’s original story will transport players to a WWII-era adventure with four playable heroes at various points in the narrative. It is the first project from the new AAA game studio.
Players will be able to take on the roles of a cast of four characters as the story of the game develops a young Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America; Azzuri, T’Challa’s great-grandfather and the Black Panther during World War II; Gabriel Jones, a US soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, the head of the developing Wakandan Spy Network. As they navigate this brand-new cross-country adventure, players can expect simple controls and exhilarating second-to-second gameplay that captures the action and excitement of Marvel, inspired by iconic comics, television, and films.
MIGHTY MARVEL WORLD OF HEROES
With MARVEL World of Heroes, a new mobile game debuting in 2023, Niantic and Marvel Entertainment invite you to join the Marvel Universe. Players in MARVEL World of Heroes can team up with their favorite Marvel characters in the real world by creating their own Super Hero identity using the AR mobile experience. Three players assume the powers of Thor, Doctor Strange, and Cyclops in a new game trailer to stop an impending threat, giving players a preview of the coming abilities.
