When Simmons was 14, Ready Ron persuaded him into consuming a marijuana cigarette laced with crack cocaine. He also claimed bipolar disorder. Simmons has gone to rehab multiple times, notably in 2002, 2017, and 2019. Simmons was discovered dead in a Yonkers, New York Ramada parking lot on February 10, 2016.
