A Florida animal shelter says that a sweet dog is getting better after being found “cemented” to a sidewalk for days and left to die. The brave dog, named “Trooper” by officials, was found completely stuck to a sidewalk on Yamato Road in Boca Roton, according to a post on social media from the Tri-County Humane Animal Rescue on Monday. The rescue group thinks that the poor dog was stuck there for days because he was in such bad shape.
“The smell was unbearable. There was no way a dog could have ended up like this overnight. How long was it going on?” the shelter said.
The people who saved Trooper said that maggots were crawling out of his fur as they cut it short. The organisation also said that his nails were very long and that he had bad tooth decay.

After “hours of grooming, Keto shampoo baths because of urine and faeces burns, tests, more tests, and even more tests,” the brave dog was also found to have a whopping 22 medical conditions.
Tri County Humane Animal Rescue said that paralysis, a heart murmur, corneal ulcers, an enlarged prostate, worms, severe periodontal disease, ear infections, and an infection in the urinary tract are some of the worst.
The shelter said that his medical bills have already reached more than $2,500, and they asked for donations to help pay for them. They want to take the dog to a specialist so he might be able to walk again. They had raised over $12,000 for Trooper by Saturday night.
