Elizabeth Grace Burton, a member of Honors Carolina, worked hard to get admission to the prestigious UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she intended to major in business administration. According to an online obituary, she received injuries in an automobile accident and died suddenly on March 10, 2023.

Grace Burton, a gifted young woman from Charlotte, had high expectations for what she could do in college. She strongly supported her neighborhood and thought improving people’s lives via education was possible.
She was dedicated to ensuring everyone had access to high-quality education regardless of social or economic conditions. While attending UNC-Chapel Hill, she volunteered with several groups, including food banks and Habitat for Humanity in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Grace cherished her ZTA status and embodied everything a strong, successful ZTA woman should be.
