Erased is one of the best-hidden anime gems that Netflix has to offer. This intriguing time-traveling story has only 12 short episodes but nevertheless has fans craving more. Is there more to the tale? Here’s what we know so far:
It’s a sci-fi series that follows 29-year-old Satoru Fujinuma, who has a “revival” power that he utilizes to save people’s lives. When his mother is found dead, he is sent back in time 18 years to when he was in elementary school, a distance he has never traveled before. A new twist has emerged in the case of his mother, who was abducted and murdered along with two other students.
As a Japanese manga series called “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi,” or “The Town Where Only I Am Missing,” “Erased” was converted into a live-action film, an anime series, and now a Netflix series.
Erased Season 2: What do we know about the upcoming second season of “Erased”?
No word yet on whether “Erased” will get a second season, therefore a release date has not yet been established. Though the anime has ended for five years, Netflix’s decision to show it has drawn in new viewers. Netflix and A-1 Pictures may launch a second season of the show if enough fans express their support for the first one.
Because Netflix has recently developed a strong interest in anime and has produced a large number of their own.
However, even if “Erased” is renewed shortly, it could be several years before viewers get to see it. Kei Sanbe’s original “Erased” manga, which he wrote and illustrated, started appearing in June 2012 and was finally completed in April 2016.
A printed conclusion had not yet been published when both the anime and the live-action film were released in March 2016. Consequently, Crunchyroll claims that only the 2017 live-action Netflix series adheres to manga’s ending. Despite this, the anime remains popular.

Erased Season 2 Storyline
A murder mystery was solved and all loose ends were tied up even though the anime didn’t follow manga exactly. So, what else needs to be covered for Season 2 of a television show? If the writers really wanted to explore Satoru’s time-traveling abilities, they could create a new plot based on it. After “Erased,” however, there was a follow-up novel that went in-depth into the killer’s motivations in more detail.
It’s feasible that “Erased” Season 2 may incorporate this material, however, the format of the series would be considerably different from Season 1. “Boku Ga Inai Machi: Re” is the title of the original author’s spin-off manga, which centers on one of the original victim’s children as its protagonist, Kayo Hinazuki. Even if the major story has wrapped up, there is still enough material for a new season – it simply wouldn’t be the same.

Is Erased Season 2 cast and crew been announced yet?
Until Season 2 is confirmed, we don’t know who the actors will be. When it comes to which characters will be featured in the storey, it all depends on what the plot is. In the first season of “Erased,” the main character is voiced by two distinct actors because he appears in two completely different eras, but this might not make sense in future episodes.
Ben Diskin plays Satoru in the English dub as a 29-year-old man, while Michelle Ruff portrays him as a 10-year-old boy. Both are well-known anime and Western animation English dub voice actors in the United States and the United Kingdom, respectively. Sai from “Boruto” and “Naruto: Shippûden” or Joseph Joestar from ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ are likely to be familiar faces to fans of Diskin.
He also voiced Kaori in the sci-fi anime classic, “Akira,” as well as Fujiko Mine in Lupin III. In theory, either of them may return, but it would depend on the storyline of the anime.
