15-year-Old Girl Goes Missing

At 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, Adriana Davidson’s family in Scio Township reported her missing to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. On January 27, they claimed she didn’t come home after school.

She was last heard from at 9 a.m. that morning, when she was en route to Pioneer High School, according to family members. They searched for her and then phoned the police when she didn’t come home. Around 11 a.m., friends last saw Davidson outside the school.

Despite deputies searching all weekend, she was nowhere to be found. Police reported that Davidson’s body was discovered by a K-9 unit close to Pioneer High School’s athletic fields on Monday, January 30. The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office expressed their sympathies to Adriana’s friends and family in a statement on Monday.

“We continue to think about and pray for you. Additionally, we want to thank everyone for helping to spread the word, sharing advice, and showing support. Police in Ann Arbor took charge of the inquiry.

According to the announcement, “The family and the community deserve answers, and we will be open about what transpired as our investigation unfolds.”

Although Adriana’s death was tragic, there is now no threat to the community and we are not looking for anyone else who may have been involved. Police claimed they had reason to think Davidson was by herself when she died after reviewing security footage from the school.

Autopsy Results Pending

Tuesday, the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office finished an autopsy. The manner and reason of Davidson’s passing are currently under investigation. In the upcoming days and weeks, police pledged to keep updating the public on the case.

No Foul Play Suspected

The most recent press release from Washtenaw County officials stated that no wrongdoing is being suspected. The statement in the release read, “We know that in the absence of facts, myths can form, and in such a tragic scenario, those falsehoods can start to inflict considerable harm.”

Parents develop a phobia of sending their children to school due to unfounded rumors. The persistent assault of false assumptions continues to harm family members, and the objectivity of an investigation may be compromised.

When Davidson was discovered, deputies claimed there were no obvious indications of wrongdoing, and they don’t think the neighborhood is currently under threat.

The release stated, “We beg for your understanding and forbearance as we permit the family of Adriana to grieve and the facts of the inquiry to emerge. The department does not plan on providing any additional details until the Ann Arbor police have finished their investigation.
