Fantasy Island Season 2: Moviegoers in the United States can look forward to Jeff Wadlow’s helming and co-writing of the supernatural horror thriller Fantasy Island, produced by Blumhouse and set to be released in 2020. The film, starring Michael Pea, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen, Portia Doubleday, and Michael Rooker, is a prequel to the 1977 ABC series of the same name and a horror reimagining of the original.
Sony Pictures Releasing’s Fantasy Island was met with mostly poor reviews from reviewers upon its February 14, 2020, theatrical release in the United States. Regardless, the movie made its money back and then some at the box office, earning $49 million worldwide on a $7 million budget.

Fantasy Island Season 2 Storyline
At the outset of Fantasy Island, Christine Collins is dealt some unfortunate news. She puts on a brave face and tries to ignore the situation until she has to go on air. She can’t seem to keep it together as a morning anchor, so she frequently veers off-topic and makes analogies about doughnuts. Someone needs a break, it seems! Her coworker’s anxious laughter serves as an amusing preamble.
And that trip, you ask? It takes place on a magical island where wishes come true. Elena Roarke is the island administrator. Her ancestors have protected this area for years, and she wants to make a difference in the lives of those who visit.
Here we go first with the arrival of Ruby and Mel Akuda, followed closely by Christine Collins. Since Elena has the power to grant any wish (within reason), all Christine wants is a huge spread. The unknown woman grants her desire, and she eats as much as she likes without gaining any weight. So, of course, her first reaction is to make a mocking expression.
Meanwhile, Elena meets up with her friends Ruby and Mel. Ruby wishes she could be cancer-free, if only for a few days. As if that weren’t enough, Elena then passes over a map to a waterfall that, when reaching it, instantly restores both of their youth.
Christine, meantime, reminisces about past meals. Christine begins to second-guess her wish when a succession of dishes roll in on a conveyor belt, including a wedding cake. We learn that in her past life she went by the name Crystal Joe and kept a trailer. By calling her obese and promising to treat her teeth, Landon is hardly a doting father.

Christine seems to be utilizing food to alleviate the emotional hunger she feels as a result of her unfulfilling life. Landon’s arrival on the island irritates Christine. She finally loses her temper and hits him over the head with a glass. In her solitude, Elena reflects on her feelings. She feels bad about Ruby and is having a hard time separating herself emotionally from her. So, that night, at a massive party, Ruby gets a tattoo on her back.
At home later that night, Mel reveals his knowledge of Ruby’s true nature. Even though she made her decision long ago, it’s obvious that she had feelings for a girl named Meredith. Mel is aware of this, and she smiles regretfully. Based on this, Elena offers to assist by keeping Ruby on the fantasy island indefinitely. The island seems to have picked her (hi, Lost) It’s a special offer, but it’s just for one person. Mel releases his wife, allowing her to pursue her own happiness apart from him.
Meanwhile, Christine is able to let go of her anger and fear by striking out at Landon, or at least the subconscious version of him. Like everyone else, she departs the island in search of happiness and fulfillment. Mel exits as his wife boards the plane for the final time.
