Warrior is a Hack and Slash Action RPG developed and published by Omega Force and Team Ninja for the Nintendo Switch as well as New Nintendo 3DS in Japan and worldwide for Koei Tecmo. The game was initially published in Japan in September of 2017 before being made available to the rest of the world in October of the same year.
The Warriors series of Koei Tecmo and the Fire Emblem series of Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have collaborated on the game. There was generally great feedback for this title. Critics lauded the combination of Fire Emblem and Dynasty Warriors gameplay and compared it favorably to Hyrule Warriors, which was published in 2014 for the Wii U. On the 24th of June, 2022, a successor to Fire Emblem Warriors was launched on the Nintendo Switch.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the series’ first outing on the Nintendo Switch, cemented the series’ status as one of the most beloved tactics games with a dash of life sim ever released. A sequel to a game as popular as Fire Emblem: Three Houses is only natural given the popularity of the world and characters introduced in that game. The Final Fantasy series is an exception to this rule.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, which was revealed during a large Nintendo direct in February, looks to be the Zelda counterpart of Hyrule Warriors or, perhaps more properly, Persona 5 Strikers. We have an early peek at the game and are happy to share what we know about Fire Emblem Warriors with anyone who is new to the series or has been following it for a long time and wants to know what is in store with this next chapter.
Fire Emblem Warriors Gameplay
As Rowan and Lianna, as well as other Fire Emblem characters, the players assume control of their characters in this hack-and-slash action role-playing game in the style of the Dynasty Warriors series. There are six Fire Emblem games that make up Warriors: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, Gaiden, The Blazing Blade, Awakening, and Fates. The player can use any character to battle foes and complete particular objectives in order to progress through the levels. In addition to hack-and-slash action, the Fire Emblem-inspired Weapon Triangle and the ability to provide tactical commands to units are both present in the game.

In the game, you can use weapons such as tomes and dragon stones as well as axes and lances. Characters’ bonds deepen when they help one another out in battle, whether it’s through healing one another or fighting side by side. Like in Fire Emblem games, a support discussion can be activated if the link between two characters is strong enough. Fire Emblem Amiibo figurines will also be used in the game, which gives weapons based on the character depicted by the figurines.
Fire Emblem Warriors Plot
Monsters suddenly assault the kingdom of Aytolis as Rowan and Lianna, the royal twins of Aytolis, duel with their buddy Prince Darios of Gristonne. Aytolis Queen Yelena, the mother of the twins, is abducted along with the three others and hands them the Shield of Flames before they are separated. It is revealed that Darios’ father Oskar is trying to revive the wicked Chaos Dragon Velezark and that they must use Gleamstones produced from the power of other worlds to keep Velezark from being resurrected by the Shield of Flames.
Aytolis heroes Ylisse, Hoshido, Nohr, and Altea join Rowan and Lianna on their journey across the continent. Once Darios has been captured by Velezark, the Shield of Flames is stolen from him just as the attack is over. In Gristonne, Rowan and Lianna discover that Yelena has been kidnapped so that she can be used as a sacrifice to resurrect Velezark.
Darios sacrifices Oskar to complete the ritual to resurrect Velezark after Rowan and Lianna rescue their mother. Before dying, Darios returns the Shield of Flames to the group when he has been liberated from the possession. Velezark is finally defeated by Rowan, Lianna, and the rest of the heroes after a fierce struggle. Aytolis is now ruled by the twins after Velezark was defeated and the other heroes returned to their worlds.
Fire Emblem Warriors Release Date
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is just around the corner, and its release date is imminent. Even though the game was only disclosed in February 2022, it is already scheduled to be launched on June 24, 2022. Nintendo has a habit of announcing and releasing games quickly, and we appreciate not having to wait years for titles we’re looking forward to.

Mainline Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will only be available on the Nintendo Switch. This game will not be coming to PC or any console because none of the mainline titles have ever been released on any other platform.

Before we see our first familiar face, Byleth, the trailer opens with some graphics of soldiers moving and glimpses of Fodlan’s realm. Claude, Dmitri, and Edelgard are all shown in action in a dazzling montage of sorts, using various special moves and slaughtering hordes of enemies in typical Warriors way.
