Paramount+ Releases First Look Pic From Sylvester Stallone Starred ‘Tulsa King’

As the creator of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan is known for making heavyweight movies like “Tulsa King.” Sylvester “Sly” Stallone, who played Rocky Balboa in the movie, will be delivering the punches in this new movie.

Stallone’s character in the mob drama, which is set to come out this fall, was shown to the public for the first time on Friday. People have been very excited about it.

For those unfamiliar, “Tulsa King” is a non-“Yellowstone”-related TV series that will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ and will follow the fictional life of Dwight “The General” Manfredi, played by Stallone. After being exiled by his boss, the New York mafia capo has migrated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is looking to develop his empire there.

Sheridan came up with the idea for the show during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. In an April 2022 interview with Variety, Sheridan said, “I was talking with a producer, and it’s COVID.”

“Some people are going stir crazy. He asked me about ideas. I said, “Look, all you need to make a good TV show is take a really interesting person and put them in a world we don’t know anything about.” ‘Hey, I wrote that thing we talked about,’ I told [the producer] two days later.”

After developing the “Tulsa King” Twitter page in January, Paramount’s social media team decided to finally get active on it. That’s when the first glimpse of Stallone appeared.

Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi Looks Tough and Poised

Looking at the “Tulsa King” sneak peek, it’s easy to see why Taylor Sheridan chose Sylvester Stallone as his new leading man. There’s a picture of the actor who played Rocky on TV.

He’s seen looking up at the sky in all his mafioso glory in the middle of a street in New York City. He’s dressed in a dark suit jacket and collared polo shirt, with his hands in his pockets and a sense of bravado that only Stallone could carry off.

Along with the shot, the show’s social media team tweeted, “The #TulsaKing has come.” While the tweet was understated, followers were delighted to learn more about the Dwight Manfredi character. People on Twitter wrote, “I can’t wait to see this show.” Another person named @djariya tweeted, “I’m excited about Sly’s first TV show.”

Stallone, who is active on social media, has been documenting his time filming “Tulsa King” in Oklahoma through his Instagram page.
