Fans of the dark British comedy “Flack,” which just started its second season on Amazon Prime, won’t be disappointed. Each season has only six 45-minute episodes. Even the most recent episode can be watched all at once in just a few days, leaving you to wonder when the next one will be out. When it started in 2019, the show was about Robyn, played by Anna Paquin. Robyn was an American publicist living in London who was having trouble keeping her own life together while fixing other people’s careers. Recently, more and more people have been watching it on TV.
Variety and The Hollywood Reporter didn’t like the first season, As Viacom showed less scripted shows, the original network, CBS, even took Pop TV off the air after the first season. Even so, the show has an 86 percent Tomatometer Score and an 85 percent Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. This is because Season 2 has a perfect 100 percent Tomatometer score, and people on Twitter are raving about it. FanSided said that the show’s second season was “very entertaining.” I think a third season is needed to keep up with the speed of the new season and the better-developed character arcs. Here is what we know so far about the future of “Flack.”
Flack Season 3 Release Date
The W Network hasn’t said what will happen with the TV show “Flack” yet. But based on how the first two seasons came out, the third season of Flack might come out on Monday, July 24, 2023.
- 01 Episode 1 July 24, 2023
- 02 Episode 2 July 31, 2023
- 03 Episode 3 August 7. 2023
- 04 Episode 4 August 14, 2023
- 05 Episode 5 August 21, 2023
- 06 Episode 6 August 28, 2023
Amazon Prime agreed to take over Season 2 in 2020, and the deal included a third season of the show (via Deadline). This growth hasn’t happened yet. It would be unusual for Amazon to renew “Flack” so soon after the release of the most recent season, but the company is known for being more friendly to fans of shows like “The Boys,” which was renewed for a third season before the second season even started streaming (via Variety).
Word on the street is that “Flack” has been taken off the schedule.
Most likely, the network will look at the ratings to decide if making six more episodes is worth it. Even if Amazon renewed the show today, it would probably not air until the end of the year or even longer. So, we won’t know what’s going on with Robyn and the company until at least the middle of 2022.

Oliver Lansley, along with Debbie Pisani, is the show’s producer. Lansley has been retweeting comments about how much people want Season 3 (maybe in the hopes of a quick renewal?).

Flack Season 3 Story
“Flack” has a clear and consistent message about celebrity drama, but in the end, it’s all about Robyn, a woman who has lost everything, falling apart. After Season 2, the show’s anti-hero was once again at the bottom of the totem pole, this time without friends or a job. Anna Paquin, who plays her, says that this season has taken her to some very dark places, which is why she likes the role so much.
“She’s made a career out of having a perfect image and making great pictures for other people, but she’s always going through things on the inside,” Paquin told the Toronto Star. “I find that to be an endlessly interesting character to explore because it has no limits… She isn’t all good or all bad. Most people aren’t, and it’s fun to play with people who aren’t all one way or the other.
