GENEVA, Ill. (WLS) — An accident involving many vehicles and a tow truck occurred early Saturday morning in the west suburban area of Geneva, and it resulted in the deaths of two women and the injuries of two men. According to reports from the Geneva Police Department, the collision took place at approximately one in the morning near the intersection of Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway.
An initial investigation has revealed that a woman from Rockford, Illinois, aged 25, driving a Dodge Charger crossed a red light on Kirk Road, causing her vehicle to collide with a Hyundai Santa Fe. The force of the incident prompted the Dodge to collide with a tow truck that was waiting to make a left turn onto Fabyan Parkway from Kirk Rd. when it happened.

Both the Rockford woman and her passenger were determined to have passed away at the scene of the accident. The man who was driving the Hyundai, a fifty-year-old North Aurora resident, was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he is currently in critical condition.
The tow truck driver, who was 31 years old and from Batavia, was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where he received treatment and was later discharged. According to the police, no charges have been made at this time, and the collision is still being investigated.
