George Peter Wilbur was born on March 6, 1941. He is an American actor and trained stunt man. Wilbur was in the United States Navy. After he got out of the Navy, he worked as a wrangler on a ranch in Tucson, Arizona. There, he was hired to stand in for John Wayne in the 1966 movie El Dorado. Later, Wilbur moved to California and worked there as a background actor and stunt double.
George P. Wilbur began his career in the 1960s as a stand-in for John Wayne. Over the next 60 years, he was in more than 100 TV shows and movies.
