The game is based on the DC Comics book Batman: Gotham Knights, which follows Batman’s allies (Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood) as they try to right the wrongs done to Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. While looking into Batman’s disappearance, the heroes run into the ancient and hidden Court of Owls and their army of brainwashed killers, known as Talons.

Gotham Knights Gameplay

A future action role-playing game called Gotham Knights will take place in an open-world version of Gotham City. Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood are the four characters that players can take control of in this game. Every character has their own distinct approach to the game and set of skills, such as Robin having the ability to teleport using the Justice League’s satellite.

The game may be played single-handedly, but it also has a two-player cooperative multiplayer option that allows one player to join at any moment without impacting the other player’s progress. While players can level up their heroes, the game will also automatically level up adversaries at the appropriate times. They also have the option of utilising vehicles, such as the Batcycle, in order to navigate the metropolis.

The daytime will be spent with the players occupying the Belfry, which serves as the team’s base of operations and enables players to switch characters and prepare for the next mission by managing their progression. Once players exit the Belfry, the game will immediately transition to the nighttime setting.

Gotham Knights Development

Although WB Games Montréal was responsible for the development of Batman: Arkham Origins in the past, and despite the fact that Gotham Knights features many of the same characters as the Batman: Arkham series, the new game is said to feature an original story that is distinct from those of the previous games in the series. In addition, there is no connection between this video game and the television show of the same name that airs on the CW.

This show has several story elements in common with the game, including the villainous Court of Owls and the passing of Bruce Wayne. Unreal Engine 4 is being utilised in the construction of Gotham Knights. The game was being adapted for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One consoles at one point, but their respective versions were ultimately scrapped because the developer wanted to “give players with the finest possible gameplay experience.”

Batgirl

To begin your Gotham Knights adventure, you’ll take control of Batgirl. When it comes to sheer willpower and persistence, few people can compare to Barbara Gordon. Barbara is and always has been a doer. Her upbringing was profoundly influenced by the fact that her father was one of Gotham City’s most prominent police commissioners.

Red Hood

The next one is Red Hood, who many people would recognise as former Robin Jason Todd. Anti-hero Jason Todd is a strong and temperamental character. That’s because it all started when Batman was killed and then resurrected against his will by one of his most feared adversaries.

Despite his short fuse, he is the first to risk his safety to protect a buddy. Because Red Hood has been on the receiving end of corruption more times than he cares to count, he believes that criminals should be made to pay for their actions in Gotham City.

Robin (Tim Drake)

Although he is the youngest member of the Batman family, Tim Drake is also the most logical and perceptive. Tim is not driven by grief but rather by a firm belief that Gotham City deserves a hero like Batman. Tim saw Batman as an exceptional role model for the kind of man he aspires to become.

Nightwing

Of all the Bat-Related Family Members, Dick Grayson Has the Most Charm. He came from a circus family and, as a result, places a premium on tight relationships. Dick thinks that there must be something substantial to fight for in order for it to be worthwhile, and for him, that something substantial has always been other people. Once under Batman’s tutelage, he eventually forged his own path to heroism.
