The car that struck a tree and caught fire had four occupants inside. The car is a Mercedes CLS that is registered in Roseville, according to KCRA 3.
According to David Martinez, a spokesman for the CHP Auburn district, the car was traveling on East Roseville Parkway at a speed that was significantly higher than the posted limit.
After hitting a tree close to Brackenbury Way, the automobile allegedly drove off the road and onto the shoulder. Numerous others, including Neil Roszkowski who lives close by, heard the crash.
He described the sound as “not a normal sound, just a very, very loud thump.” He claimed that as he ran to the junction, the car was on fire. According to Roszkowski, the flames were around 25–35 feet high.
“In my entire life, I’ve never seen anything like it.” When he heard a loud boom, Trevor Santa Cruz was also around the crossroads. To assist, he also ran. One man, according to him, was already there and extinguishing the flames.
He claimed, “I sprinted to the gym to fetch a fire extinguisher, but it still didn’t help.” They attempted to open the doors, but Santa Cruz claimed that the flames were too strong.
“To see if anyone was moving inside, we were hammering on the trunk’s rear. Nothing, no one was moving “stated he. He added that he believes there was nothing they could have done to save the men after viewing the scenario in the light of day.
Outside of the crash site, a memorial has grown. People have been bringing four golf balls, a Christmas wreath, candles, and flowers. The Granite Bay Golf Club is where the two guys first met and became involved.
Visitors to the crash scene include neighbors who live close to the crossing. According to Amy Atkin, “it’s highly unexpected and really upsetting for everyone, for anyone who lives here or knows of the people.” “It’s incredibly distressing, and our thoughts are with them.”
