American newscaster and TV broadcaster Harris Kimberley Faulkner (born October 13, 1965) has been with Fox News Channel since 2005. She is the host of the popular show Outnumbered and the anchor of the daily daytime show The Faulkner Focus. In addition, she is the host of Town Hall America with Harris Faulkner, a primetime political franchise. She’s the proud recipient of six Emmys, including Best Newscaster and Best News Special in 2005.
On October 13, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia, Faulkner was born in Fort McPherson. During her childhood, her father, retired Lieutenant Colonel Bob Harris, was stationed at the facility as an Army officer and Army Aviator. He had previously done three tours in Vietnam. As a child, Faulkner moved around a lot; one of his stops was in Stuttgart, West Germany.

Harris Faulkner’s Career
When Faulkner first started out, she was a freelance business writer for LA Weekly. Her articles typically earned her $50. Following an internship at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles, where she performed menial chores, Faulkner went on to become a reporter and anchor at WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. Faulkner was an evening anchor for WDAF-TV in Kansas City from 1992 to 2000. An old acquaintance from North Carolina followed Faulkner to Kansas City, where she was subjected to harassment and stalking.
Later, Faulkner moved on to KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, where she was a member of the evening anchor team. In July of 2004, she departed from her post. In 2005, Faulkner began his tenure with Fox News. From the show’s 2005 comeback until its 2005 discontinuation in October, she served as a correspondent.
From 2011-2017, Faulkner presided over her own network news program, Fox Report Weekend. In 2018, Faulkner covered the Midterm Elections and filled in as an anchor for both Martha MacCallum’s The Story and Shepard Smith’s Shepard Smith Reporting. She was a regular on the nighttime satirical show Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld before Gutfeld’s departure.
Faulkner joined the cast of the Fox News daytime program Outnumbered in April 2014. In 2017, she took over as host of Outnumbered Overtime, a show that presents news in a more straightforward fashion than the usual Outnumbered panel does. Harris, despite her concerns, is a cheerful and healthy woman. So far, she hasn’t mentioned being seriously ill. On the other side, she has seen close family members suffer from life-threatening illnesses. No matter what is going on in her personal life, it is her job as a media professional to put on a happy face and a positive attitude in front of the camera.
True to form, she did just that. Many worried that Harris Faulkner had cancer after hearing rumors that he was ill. However, the truth is rather different. Harris Faulkner does not have cancer and has been careful with her health, but the disease killed her mother and aunt.
The devastating news that Faulkner’s mother had been diagnosed with terminal cancer was shared in 2016. She informed Survivor Net that her mother had terminal lung and kidney cancer. Her mother did everything possible to treat her illness, but she died anyhow. So, Harris had to say goodbye to her mom that Thanksgiving.
Her aunt also died of breast cancer that year. Faulkner walked 39 miles to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research in her honor. The terrible event had a profound effect on her. Although her mother lost her battle with illness, Harris will never forget her kind words and acts of kindness. She still thinks fondly about her mom’s generous spirit and caring nature.
