Here Are the Service Modifications and Closures for Thanksgiving in Your County. This week is Thanksgiving. Therefore businesses and services will be closed in celebration of the occasion.

Lake County
Thursday and Friday are off-limits for the following offices:
- Lake County Board of Commissioners
- Property Appraisers
- Supervisor of Elections
- Tax Collector
- Lake County Extension Center
On Monday, they will open again. The following modifications will impact certain services: On Thanksgiving Day, there will be no curbside collection.
On Thursday, the county’s solid waste landfill will be closed; however, regular business hours will apply on Friday.
On Thursday and Friday, residential convenience stores will be closed.
Buses from Lake County Connection and LakeXpress won’t run on Thursday.
On Friday, it will start running once more. On Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., the Lake County Animal Shelter will be open after being closed on Wednesday through Friday. The Lake County Library System will be closed on Friday and Thanksgiving Day.
Leesburg
On Thursday and Friday, all city offices and facilities will be closed. On Monday, they will open again.
On Thursday and Friday, recycling, yard debris, and garbage will not be collected; however, the curbside collection will resume on Monday.
At seven o’clock on Wednesday, the Leesburg Public Library will close its doors until Saturday. Online payments and some city services are available.
Marion County
Ocala
On Thursday and Friday, all city of Ocala administrative offices will be closed. There won’t be any residential garbage, recycling, or yard waste collections on Thursday. On Friday, recycling and trash collection will take place.
On Wednesday, SunTran’s operating hours were shortened to 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The business will be closed on Thursday, and Friday, it will be open. Regular routes operate from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
