That will soon change, though, with the release of History of the World, Part II, later this year. With the new franchise format, an anthology series rather than a feature film, Brooks will return to the creative writing process for the first time in over a decade. The presence of Brooks in a leading role, along with the rest of the show’s A-list cast, makes this one of 2023’s most talked-about comedies. For those who have only recently caught up, there are still many unanswered questions. Where and when can we see the show? Who plays the lead role in the show? Will the “Jews in Space” episode that was joked about in 1981 finally be made?

History Of The World Part 2: Trailer
Director Mel Brooks himself introduces the first trailer for History of the World, Part II. After a brief prologue, the primary trailer introduces the wide range of historical individuals that will likely be the targets of satire in the continuation. Harriet Tubman (Wanda Sykes), Sigmund Freud (Taika Waititi), Marco Polo (Jake Johnson), and many, many more are just a few examples. That’s not even a fraction of the show’s star-studded cast, which also features Danny DeVito, Seth Rogen, and J.B. Smoove.

Who Is Making History Of The World Part 2?
Without Mel Brooks, History of the World just wouldn’t be the same, and he’ll be playing a big part in the making of the new series. Despite his absence from the directing seat, Brooks continues to receive credit as the series’ writer alongside David Stassen, who also contributed to the project’s creation (Central Intelligence). Along with starring in the sitcom are Wanda Sykes, Ike Barinholtz, and Nick Kroll, who will also serve as executive producers alongside Brooks and Stassen.
