Disney hasn’t officially announced Hocus Pocus 3 yet, but if Hocus Pocus 2 is a success, the Sanderson sisters might make another appearance. For those who were sceptical about the movie, the sequel is now available on Disney+ and has been getting good reviews from critics. Digital Spy employees adored it.
No movie is immune to the cynical studio cycle, and one sequel most definitely isn’t enough in this cycle. This includes sequels published 29 years after the original. What does this mean for Hocus Pocus 3? Well, there’s currently no way to know for sure. But there are certain hints that may indicate whether a third movie starring the Sanderson sisters is likely.
Hocus Pocus 3 Release Date: When Will It Come Out?
The release date for Hocus Pocus 3 is unknown as Disney has not yet confirmed production on the film.
If the second film does well, Disney may want to rapidly-produce a third film starring the Sanderson sisters so that fans don’t have to wait another 29 years.
Even if that does occur, we seriously doubt the third film will be released before Halloween 2024. Keep checking back for more information as it becomes available.

Hocus Pocus 3 Plot
The post-credit scene reveals that there is another candle, despite the fact that the first candle was destroyed at the conclusion of the film. Sam Richardson’s character Gilbert’s cat may be seen dashing throughout the store until stopping in front of a box marked “BF #2 candle,” which suggests that there is a second candle.
The twist in this story is that the Sanderson sisters don’t die as a result of being cursed to vanish at dawn on November first. The spell that Winnie weaves to give herself absolute control, however, ends up harming Mary and Sarah.
When Winnie asks Becca, a new witch, to do a spell to put Mary and Sarah back together, it transports Winnie to wherever they are, which is probably some type of afterlife. Whether another Black Flame candle can bring them back from the dead is still up in the air, but it would undoubtedly weaken the dramatic arc achieved in the sequel. If a third film is approved, we must hope that it will take a completely different turn.
Hocus Pocus 3 Cast & Crews
Disney has not officially confirmed whether or not Hocus Pocus 3 will be made, but the cast and crew remain optimistic. In reference to the most recent instalment, Hocus Pocus 2 director Anne Fletcher stated (through SFX Magazine) that she purposefully “left it wide open for any sequel.”
Midler, Najimy, and Parker appear to be in favour of doing a third Hocus Pocus film. Midler said she would agree to be in a third Hocus Pocus movie but expressed uncertainty about the direction the plot could take. In a similar vein, Parker said, “Of course, I’d be thrilled to have a conversation [for a third picture],” before adding that it also relies on her co-stars.
