Everleigh Rose, who gained fame on YouTube, has lost her father, Tommy Smith. He was 29. Everleigh’s mother, Savannah LaBrant, who is 29 years old, broke the news on Instagram on Thursday. Everleigh is nine years old. Savannah, a YouTube celebrity, shared a cute photo of her daughter Everleigh with her father and captioned it, “As we come to terms with Everleigh’s father, Tommy’s passing has left us all with highly broken hearts.
He had an intense passion for Everleigh. As we work through this challenging period, we would be grateful if you could respect our need for privacy so our family can continue to love Ev, pray for her, and grieve alongside her. We cannot express how much we value the prayers you say for Everleigh.”

Savannah, who is married to Cole LaBrant, did not have the same symptoms as Smith experienced before passing away. PEOPLE has confirmed that the investigation is being handled by the Orange County Coroner’s office. The investigation into what caused his death is still ongoing.
In an extract from her book Cole and Sav: Our Surprising Love Story which was published exclusively with PEOPLE at the time, Savannah, who gave birth to her daughter Everleigh when she was 19 years old, discussed the highs and lows that she and Smith faced during their relationship.
“Coparenting is a role that Sav and I take great joy in, and I urge everyone to stop spewing hatred in their direction. Do something productive, like planting a tree.” This movie is a compilation of the TikTok films Everleigh and Smith created together. In one of the videos, Smith has makeup smeared all over his face, and he jokes about having a daughter by saying, “So… I have a daughter.”
Everleigh expressed her gratitude to both of her fathers in a different video published in July of last year. “One made me, and one raised me,” she added. “One made me, and one raised me.” Everleigh beamed and said, “I love it” in response to Savannah’s inquiry about whether or not she enjoys having two father figures in her life.
